Ready-Salted Tiffin

Salty crisps... and chocolate? I know what you're thinking. Trust me on this one, you'll be swapping out the biscuits in no time. Try to use crisps with a little more bite to them, so they don't completely demolish when stirred with the chocolate.


Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate

  • 200g Cadbury caramel chocolate

  • 50g ready salted crisps (I used Kettle Chips Slightly Salted)

  • Handful large marshmallows ripped up into small chunks

  • Handful of sultanas

  • Handful of glacé cherries

  • Handful of salted almonds

Recipe:

  1. Break up the dark chocolate and place in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave in 30 seconds bursts, stirring each time, until melted.

  2. Whilst the chocolate is still hot, break in the caramel chocolate and stir.

  3. In a large mixing bowl stir the crisps, chocolate mixture, marshmallows, sultanas, glacé cherries and salted almonds. Crunch the crisps with the spoon as you stir.

  4. Press into a 20cm lined tin. Refrigerate until set.

  5. Cut into squares and enjoy!



Perfect with a tea.
